My First Book is Written -- "Running Alone Across America"

Well, it only took 20 years... but I've finally written a book about my 2006 solo run across the United States. This is a project that I've thought about for decades, and decided that now that I'm in my 60s I should probably get that adventure documented into one book.

Running Alone Across America actually begins in 1976 with the first mile I ever ran as a fifth grader, and shares several mileposts I passed on the way to ultimately running into the Atlantic Ocean at the end of my coast-to-coast journey. My hope is that readers will feel as though they've virtually run alongside me.

Currently, the 100,000-word book is in publishing software and photos will be added throughout the book in the coming weeks. This will be an independently published book and will be made available on Amazon in hardcover, paperback and Kindle. At over 400 pages in length (6x9-inch book), it's not a quick read -- but of course running across the country was not a "quick" run. The 15-state endeavor required running 125 marathons in 108 days.

I'll make an announcement once the book is fully complete and available on Amazon.

Gotta Run,

Paul J. Staso
